Admitting that the nerves were stupendous before stepping through the curtain at SummerSlam 2002, a reflective Shawn Michaels was candid and honest in his first autobiography regarding the pressure he felt about making a grand return.

At the same time as feeling sick to his stomach about wrestling again, the 'Heart Break Kid' also knew he was in good hands due to his close friendship with Triple H in real life.

There were no guarantees that Michaels vs. Triple H in an 'Unsanctioned Street Fight' would be stellar; this was Shawn's first match in over four years, and he couldn't be sure whether or not his body would hold up to all the abuse during the bout.

Watching the match makes it clear that Triple H did everything he possibly could to ensure that Michaels looked like a million bucks, because he was bang on time for every punch, kick and spot his buddy had to worry about.

Shawn Michaels is a world-class performer even at 50%, but he surely wouldn't have trusted just any fool to step foot in the ring with him at SummerSlam '02.
