Here's a bombshell.

30-year veteran and all-round wrestling genius Chris Jericho had never watched any of the classic WarGames matches before sitting down to map out Blood & Guts. He'd heard all about them, obviously, but hadn't actually plonked himself down in front of his telly to check them out.

Jericho told listeners that he ended up loving the cage bout from WCW's WrestleWar 1992 pay-per-view. Sting's Squadron vs. The Dangerous Alliance became something of a treasure to Mr. Jericho, and he has zero problems fessing up to how badly he'd missed the boat on that one - it was one of the best matches he'd ever seen in his life.

The AEW star didn't go into too much detail about any other WarGames matches he checked out after that, which is a shame. It would've been fun to hear his take on timeless epics featuring The Four Horsemen, Dusty Rhodes, The Road Warriors and other legends.
