1. Swerve Sends Everyone Home

The duty of sending fans home “happy” after that Bloodline-pilled finish fell on Swerve Strickland, who commented on how quickly fans were streaming for the exits and asked them to hang around for a minute while he addressed them.

Swerve told everyone that he didn’t know when he would be back in the world title picture, especially with the Young Bucks back. He reminded fans that that uncertainty is why they should tune in and watch AEW, trying to sell a better story going forward after this disappointing conclusion. Stickland then shifted to talking about how he got his start wrestling in Pennsylvania and Philly itself, and being back here wrestling for a world title on PPV was a bit surreal.

AEW’s Most Dangerous Man introduced his family on hand to see him wrestle, spoke about how he doesn’t just speak about representation, he tries to live it. Swerve then closed by taking a swipe “for my amusement – f*** Booker T,” a comment that will probably generate some clicks.
