10 Things We Learned Attending WWE WrestleMania 40 Live

1. You Should Definitely Go

If you've ever wondered whether you should save up and make the bucket list item real - but are introverted or anxious or otherwise concerned about the mood - don't be. It can get a little bit intense, but a wonderful community atmosphere envelops the occasion.

There's a performative element to it, in that people enjoy playing roles - literally, in the case of multiple cosplayers - but there's a genuine warmth, too. You're all there for the same thing. Catchphrases get volleyed across the car park, people will smile and compliment you on your merchandise, and everybody, in general, is friendly and set on having the time of your life. While you're in the stadium, anyway, the atmosphere could not be more welcoming. If the prospect of this much human interaction is too much, you can simply put your head down and avoid it altogether. Nobody will scream in your face. Nobody is aggressive (at least where I was).

It's fun as much as you want it to be, but it's also genuinely quite heartwarming to watch people of different backgrounds come together for a silly but profound reason.

It might seem ridiculous, but your faith in humanity might even get restored across the festivities.
