8. Becky Lynch's Mixed Reception

Though technically playing the babyface against Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch's reception verged on frosty in some parts of the Lincoln Financial Field.

'The Man' fell to Ripley in Saturday's Women's World Title match. The Raw duo opened the show and though few would agree they met the bludgeonous heights of Rhea's brutal Charlotte Flair clash at WM39, their spirited, competitive bout delivered at a high level. Impressive, given Lynch had been fighting a flu and head cold in the days before 'Mania, carrying a 102-degree temperature into the event.

But Becky struggled to draw even majority support in Philadelphia. This likely speaks to Ripley's explosion in popularity more than anything else - and it'd be hasty to read too much more into it - but there were smatterings of jeers throughout the building as Lynch made her entrance. When working from beneath, Philly was far from universal in willing Becky towards her babyface comebacks.

Lynch's WWE contract was set to expire in under two months at the time of writing. Perhaps a break will remind WWE fans of her value, breathing new life into those reactions.

Or maybe it's a simple case of not working with Rhea Ripley next.
