10 Things We Learned From AEW's Double Or Nothing Announcement Party

7. A New Working Relationship

Cody and the Jackson brothers made no secret of their desire to work with other promotions at the first rally, even announcing their partnership with China's rising Oriental Wrestling Entertainment.

New Japan remains a big question. For now, it looks like the 'King Of Sports' will continue their existing deal with Ring Of Honor, but an eventual union with AEW can't be ruled out entirely, particularly if NJPW ever want to book Kenny Omega again.

There was no word of anything New Japan-related last night, but the gathering did bring the announcement of a new partnership with Lucha Libre AAA, whose president, Dorian Roldan, confirmed a talent exchange. An interesting move, particularly as Mexico's biggest promotion, CMLL, is already tied into an agreement with NJPW.

AAA Cruiserweight Champion Sammy Guevara has already been confirmed as part of the AEW roster. Fellow All Elite wrestler Rey Fenix holds the promotion's Mega Championship, and the agreement could open the door for other talented stars like El Hijo del Vikingo, Faby Apache, Aero Star, and Drago to cross over.

Don't get too carried away, though: AAA's propensity for Russo-esque disasters is massive.
