10 Things We Learned From American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes

4. The Undertaker Was Impressed By AEW

Right, time to dispense with some pretence first and foremost! The Undertaker doesn't pretend to be some AEW fanboy who gets giddy about seeing matches like Omega vs. Ospreay. However, the legend does admit he's impressed that Cody left WWE to bank on himself.

The fact Rhodes developed a brand new company and helped build it from the ground up with his friends does earn 'Taker's respect. He's happy to acknowledge that not many wrestlers would've taken that sort of risk at the time, especially back in 2016 when there wasn't a major company waiting to snap Cody up.

What a glowing endorsement from one of the best to ever do it. No doubt Tony Khan will be grinning from ear to ear when he sees this bit of the doc, and rightly so. It's recognition from a WWE icon that moments like All In and AEW's formation changed the landscape of modern wrestling.

Very cool.
