3. Reports About His AEW Exit Were Wrong

Some will probably be slightly disappointed to find out Cody refuses to reveal exactly why he left AEW in 2022 here. It's true - Rhodes doesn't pinpoint one definitive thing, but does say that some of the reported reasons online at the time were way, way, way wide of the mark.

He didn't leave All Elite due to money grumbles, or because of problems with other workers in the promotion. No, Cody said it was more to do with "a personal issue" and his burning desire to chase the biggest dream he's ever had: Becoming WWE Champion for his father.

Triple H calling AEW "a secondary promotion" will ruffle some feathers, but anybody shocked by that at this stage needs a reality check. Hunter (or indeed any member of upper WWE management interviewed for the doc) was never going to heap praise on the competition.

Maybe Cody will reveal the unnamed "personal issue" he referred to someday.
