10 Things We Learned From Attending AEW: Double Or Nothing
2. Moxley Is Going To Change The Game
A few months ago Dean Ambrose had the lamest gimmick in wrestling. He had the weirdest half-arsed heel turn that turned a super-hot potential feud with Seth Rollins into a weird, plodding, confusing back-and-forth that they forgot about within weeks. He also feuded with Nia Jax.
In the space of one weekend he’s become the biggest talking point in wrestling, gatecrashed the main-event of AEW’s first ever show, brawled with Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho, been unveiled for New Japan Pro Wrestling, and got himself at title match at Best of the Super Juniors. Again, he was feuding with Nia Jax.

Everything was, in the short-term at least, something of a step-down or a period of recuperation for them to bounce back from. Ambrose, by contrast, has just launched himself into the stratosphere.
