10 Things We Learned From Attending WWE WrestleMania 37 Live

9. What The Kickoff Is Really Like

WWE Kickoff Shows aren't generally the most entertaining thing in the world, at least for your writer here. In many cases, the pre-show is used as background noise until the actual PPV begins - once the recap banter ends and that signature begins, it's time to head back to the living room.

In-person, watching the kickoff was quite entertaining, but perhaps not for any particular reason on WWE's part.

Most of the onlookers had no idea what the likes of Booker T, JBL, Kayla Braxton, or Peter Rosenberg (the latter of whom rode the same airport shuttle as your writer) were saying on stage, but they still made it a ton of fun with high interaction and an endless supply of chants for the hosts, as well as some wrestlers who clearly weren't in the building, such as 'Macho Man' and CM Punk.

Of course, how much you enjoy the kick-off show live might very well depend on which side of the tracks you're on. At several points, the crowd in front of the pavilion was far more lively than they were during WrestleMania itself. On the other hand, certain panel hosts were visibly frustrated and distracted by the relentlessness of the fans. And by "certain panel hosts," your writer means Booker T.
