For a performer who's only been in WWE for a relatively brief stint, Barrett has experienced some significant downtime due to injuries. The most recent of which was a separated shoulder suffered at the hands of Jack Swagger after an errant throw into the ringside barricade. All the ligaments that held his shoulder and collarbone together ripped off completely and had to be fused back together with a piece of his hamstring. Bad News also suffered a broken arm back in 2010 during a multi-man match where Big Show tossed Dolph Ziggler on top of him, then to add insult (and more injury) to injury, Cody Rhodes threw Santino onto the arm. Jericho was also in the match and remarks that it was like a war zone where everyone was getting hurt. Kofi Kingston, Ziggler and Barrett all got banged up during the affair.
