9. Appearing In A WWE Studios Film
While he was out nursing the broken arm, Triple H contacted Barrett about a role in the upcoming WWE film "Dead Man Down" starring Colin Farrell. For all the justifiable grief WWE receives over their venture into movie-making, the flicks that aren't used as starring vehicles for their wrestlers sometimes do well, at least earning a profit, most notably "The Call" and "Oculus". Dead Man Down was a crime thriller where Bad News got to play Kilroy - a bodyguard with very few lines whose job was to stand in the background and look mean. He says that most of his scenes were with A-listers Farrell and Terrance Howard, and Jericho pesters him to speak with a New York accent, which he does pretty well. He attended a dialect coach along with Farrell to help with the accents who had him listening to Bruce Springsteen tapes to get a feel for how he should sound. The two then start talking about how many English actors are big in the States, mentioning Andrew Lincoln from The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam, with Chris noting how once in a while their real accent will pop through (which, in the case of Hunnam is much more frequently than "once in a while").
