10 Things We Learned From Bayley On Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions

3. She Nearly Became "Eddie Guerrero In WCW"

This makes sense.

Watch some of Bayley's promos from around the time she first turned heel then cut her hair off and blasted the fans - they're stilted, awkward and her voice is almost shaky. It turns out this was by design, because she wanted to mimic the frustration and anger of Eddie Guerrero during the icon's final year in WCW.

Back in 1999, Eddie cut some scathing (albeit rambling and, being honest, not particularly great) promos on Eric Bischoff for treating him like an afterthought. Bayley planned to replicate his miserable vibes when she first turned heel 20 years later, which is why she looked like she was having the worst time on screen.

That was 100% deliberate, but things changed when the world went into lockdown. Suddenly, the previously dry heel became more "obnoxious and annoying" in front of the cameras. Austin appreciated that, 'cause he wondered if playing Eddie would've been too dark anyway.
