A 'Six-Pack Challenge' match designed to crown the first ever SmackDown Women's Champion took place at the Backlash pay-per-view on September 11. Defeating Nikki Bella, Natalya, Naomi, Carmella and Alexa Bliss was a huge moment for Becky Lynch, nobody can ever take away the fact she is the inaugural female champ on the blue brand.

Becky's emotion shone through in the immediate aftermath, she looked genuinely touched as she clutched the title belt. Not allowing herself to be swept away by the moment, Lynch told Steve Austin that she knew it was time to get to work.

Becoming champion was the culmination of all her struggles, now Lynch had to prove why she had come so far.

In Becky's mind, being champion is actually harder than the chase. No longer the underdog, she is now the top dog on SmackDown and needs to continually prove why. Crucially, Lynch then looks forward to say that reinventing herself is going to be the toughest thing when it's time.

This harks back to her comments about playing heel again, Becky clearly knows that WWE's system is an ever-evolving one.
