5. Show Detested JR's Weight Loss Chats

Show was an advocate for John Laurinaitis replacing Jim Ross as Head of WWE Talent Relations when it happened. By his own admission, the big man hated having chats with JR about weight loss over the years, and didn't agree that he should shed the beef to weigh in at under 400lbs.

Laurinaitis didn't badger Show the same way, and he says that his relationship with Vince McMahon improved as a byproduct of 'Big Johnny's' promotion. That's when the monstrous man realised that Vince wasn't always up for clowning around - he wanted to talk business first. Joking his way through convos had become a crutch for Show when avoiding those dreaded bulk meetings.

He couldn't see that Ross was only worried about his body. He'd heard the stories about what immense weight did to André's quality of life years earlier, and he didn't want to sit idly by and watch someone he thought could be a valuable contributor go the same way.

In other words, JR was looking out for Show. The big man just didn't want to hear it.
