"Snap into a Slim Jim" is a catchphrase burned into the minds of wrestling fans from the early-90's. A deal with the food brand proved to be a money-spinner for Randy Savage, and it's always been said that he worked out terms away from the WWF so he didn't have to share the pot. Prichard revealed Savage wasn't the first choice for those commercials.

Originally, it was supposed to be The Ultimate Warrior who snagged the advertising gig. Warrior annoyed Slim Jim owners by spitting out the product after biting it on camera though, and that led to the WWF trying someone else out. Yes, it was actually the WWF's sponsorship deal first, not Savage's, and he wasn't even involved initially.

When Randy met with the Slim Jim folks, they fell in love with his natural charm, over-the-top persona and one-take performances during filming. Somehow, Savage was able to carry over the Slim Jim agreement to WCW even after leaving the WWF.
