Nobody will ever blame Vince McMahon for being too up-to-date or current.

Baffled as to why Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio (who were working on SmackDown as a tag-team in 2004) had started calling their double leg-drop finisher the "420 Leg Drop", McMahon asked Paul Heyman to get an explanation out of Rob. When Heyman did ask RVD, he said that it was because they landed with four legs and had a combined shoe size of 20.

It was totally nothing to do with marijuana. Nope, not at all.

Amazingly, when Paul relayed this back to Vince, the boss had Michael Cole use that line on commentary, claiming that Van Dam wore a size 12 boot and Mysterio a size 8. Stoners around the world now had a new reason to giggle as they watched WWE programming.

Nobody smartened Vince up. They were probably too scared to do so, and that's why Van Dam got away with a little pot joke at WWE's expense.
