10 Things We Learned From Charles Robinson On 'Talk Is Jericho'

1. There Was Nothing Fake About The Jericho Argument

As many suspected at the time, the argument between Y2J and Charles Robinson at the end of the abridged match between Jericho and Neville was very real. For those who don't remember, Neville injured himself performing a routine baseball slide, telling Jericho that he thought he had broken his ankle. As such, Jericho called an audible and rolled Neville up for a rushed finish.

A miscommunication (or even a lack of) meant that Robinson hadn't received the memo, and upon seeing Neville's shoulder come up he counted to 2, as is his job. This led to Jericho shoving Robinson into the corner and the two getting in each other's faces, exchanging expletives and threats until Robinson did the right thing and disqualified Jericho.

At the very beginning of the podcast the two talk about the altercation, and how both of them were very much genuine in their actions. Ever the professionals, both were aware enough that if they kept arguing the camera would be kept on them, allowing Neville the chance to b removed from the ring without attention being brought to him.

It was an example of two professionals managing to do their job impeccably without even realising. Charles Robinson is a certain future Hall of Famer, and is very much deserving of that spot.
