Robinson talks of his early days in WCW, after Terry Taylor finally resisted and gave him a job. Despite some minor hazing to begin with, Robinson quickly found himself accepted by the boys in the back. He was surely helped here by having Arn Anderson, one of the most respected men in professional wrestling history, taking care of him.

Despite this good relationship, Robinson managed to anger Anderson so much that the latter didn't speak to him for an entire year. The two frequently rode together, but on one occasion Robinson made the trip from Jackson to Memphis with fellow referee Billy Silverman. Arn and Danny Young were about an hour behind, and just before the referees arrived in Memphis Arn called Charles to say their car had broken down, and to come and pick them up.

Unfortunately, Charles wasn't the driver and it wasn't his car. For whatever reason, Billy Silverman decided against going back for the two, leaving Arn and Danny Young stranded in the middle of the road. Despite his relative innocence, Robinson was considered just as much to blame as Young. As a result, Anderson didn't speak to Robinson for an entire year.

The heartbreak in Robinson's voice is palpable.
