10 Things We Learned From Chris Jericho's AEW All Out Podcast

8. He Won't Do Hardcore In AEW

"Hardcore for the sake of hardcore" does nothing for Chris Jericho.

That's why, when the topic of Darby Allin vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Joey Janela came up on the podcast, the legend said he won't be doing much (if any) of that in AEW. That style isn't particularly impressive to him, and he doesn't think it's really wrestling at all. At the same time, Jericho was complimentary of the triple threat match and said it works for guys like Havoc.

This is a bit of a change for Jericho. Although he's never exactly been Mr. Garbage Wrestler, he has indulged in some sick bumps over the years. That aforementioned thumbtacks one just over three years ago in WWE, as well as some of the rugged falls he's taken in New Japan, may well be in the rear view mirror.

It's worth nothing that Allin vs. Havoc vs. Janela was hardly a gore fest at All Out. Their 'Cracker Barrel Clash' did have weapons galore, but it wasn't a blood-letting feast like Jericho's comments insinuate. Maybe he's just keen to let everyone know he's uninterested in hardcore generally.
