10 Things We Learned From Chris Jericho's AEW All Out Podcast
7. Private Party Asked To Use The Judas Effect
As he was getting ready for his own match backstage (and likely trying not to take someone's eye out with all the spikes on his ring jacket), Jericho was approached by Private Party. The high-flying tag-team had a simple request: Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen wanted to know if they could borrow something from the Jericho playbook.
Specifically, the Judas Effect.
That's pretty bold stuff. Approaching the headline act on the entire show, and the man who's about to become your World Champion, and asking to use his finisher on a pre-show tag match is rather audacious. It's fairly shocking then to hear that Jericho was very polite with his reply. He asked the boys if they'd mind holding off for a bit.
Private Party liked the idea of incorporating a spinning elbow spot into their match against Angélico and Jack Evans. All Jericho told them was that he'd rather not see them using anything he was going to for a while. Perhaps that'll change once the chameleonic veteran inevitably shakes his move set up.
