7. He Works On An Oil Field For A Living
David currently supports himself working as an oil rig operator in Western Canada. During the interview, Chris Van Vliet states that Fort McMurray is known for its massive oil industry.
When asked what his average day of work consists of working on an oil rig, Benoit said "I'm just running a rig, semi-drill. We have a big drill that pipes down into the ground like 50 feet. Yeah, and I'm up in one of those little crane-tower boxes like eighty feet in the air."
When asked if he went to school to pursue his oil rig career, David states he did go to college and graduated from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with a degree in engineering. David currently works for two weeks straight running his rig, and then has one week off.
Although David seems to have a lucrative career in the oil industry, he is still very interested in pursuing a career in wrestling with the right company.
