First and foremost, Christian had to haul ass off the couch and stop munching entire bags of Cheetos. That's not a flippant guess. He told Renée that he was enjoying the retired life, but slightly unhappy with the way he looked. After getting the all clear from doctors, Cage decided to get stuck into some workouts.

Edge also put him onto Nutrition Solutions. The meal prep company helped Christian remould his body into one that'd be ready for the spotlight again. More determined than ever, he built a "minimalist" gym in his garage, bought an assault bike from Amazon and planked until he could plank no more.

That's how Christian got into shape for his eventual wrestling return.

He knew that getting cleared by medics wasn't enough - he'd have to get back into fighting shape before anyone would hire him. That way, Cage would be ready to go rather than having to diet and train his butt off in a short span before some big pay-per-view match.
