10 Things We Learned From CM Punk At Starrcast

7. What He Misses From Wrestling

CM Punk Starrcast III
WWE

Aside from his Starrcast appearances and his weird hooded cameo for a Wisconsin indie in April, Punk has not stepped foot in the ring for a match since his acrimonious WWE exit five years back. In over a decade out, surely he misses something from the industry?

Nope. Punk says that he did it all in the business, so carries absolutely no regrets. Furthermore, he's entirely out of the loop when it comes to wrestling, and therefore has absolutely no yearning for a return. To emphasise this fact, the man in question is utterly taken aback (probably) when Johnson tells him that performers in WWE are allowed time off now - with credit given to him for "banging his head against the wall".

"Good for them," Punk concedes, noting that maybe he'd still be around had things been that way in his day.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
