10 Things We Learned From CM Punk On Renée Paquette's Podcast

1. What It’d Take To Get Him Back In The Ring

CM Punk AEW
AEW/WWE

This was Renée's million dollar question, perhaps literally.

She asked what it'd take to get Punk back inside a wrestling ring. Again, the one-time 'Straight Edge Saviour' didn't mince his words - he said that it'd need to be "something interesting". Also, any interested parties would need to offer him a crapload of cash before he'd even consider it.

Punk then said he felt like a "sh*tbag" for even bringing money into it, and veered off into some analysis about the key personnel differences between WWE and AEW. The latter sounds more appealing to him, but only because there are more guys on the roster he hasn't wrestled before. He wouldn't be tempted by a match with Jon Moxley, for example, 'cause he's worked him before in WWE.

There's also a ton of baggage to work through with WWE before things even get to that point. It's cool that Punk isn't just shutting down questions like this anymore. It must be obvious to him that people want to see a comeback happen eventually.
