10 Things We Learned From Cody’s Final AEW Dynamite Q&A

7. War, What Is It Good For?

Having his cake and throwing a sledgehammer through it too, Cody elected to take the high ground regarding just how much AEW would focus on NXT as relates to counter-programming once the quest for ratings supremacy is in full swing.

Noting that they'll be focusing on their own field without worrying about Full Sail, Cody gave his honest appraisal of the battle ahead, how it came to be, and how he hopes Dynamite can win. He said; "We'll be focussed solely on our own show. I think it would be arrogant if we had a monitor on the go-position with what the competitor was doing at the time.

Of course, we're not living under a rock, we'll know what's matched up against what and and how they did but we've got to do us. We were always going to be on TNT like this. Their move to USA, and this is not meant as a negative...was a reactionary move towards us. They can watch us, we'll be taking care of our own business."
