10 Things We Learned From Corey Graves' New WWE Podcast

9. Corey Has A Fight On His Hands

Presenting a full hour of refreshingly-candid realism is something that Corey Graves will have to fight for over the next few weeks and months. Any long time WWE follower knows that brutal self-criticism isn't something this company do well, and they might end up peeved that someone tasked with selling the product as an announcer is bashing parts of it elsewhere.

It became clear on this first episode that Corey was the only one all in on this new exposé direction.

Convincing WWE in the long-term that tapping into the same level of behind-the-curtain depth he wants to present is a good idea is going to be challenging for Graves. He's a big fan of speaking his mind, and he wants to explore things outwith WWE's control like AEW, ROH and beyond. That doesn't sound like a Vince McMahon passion project.

Fingers crossed he gets to ask the tough questions going forward, because some of the curtain-peeling (like when he admitted Cesaro's shortcomings on the mic and briefly questioned Crown Jewel) were engaging.
