7. He Went On Tour 24 Hours Post-Wedding
Most hardcore wrestling fans out there have heard stories about just how full on the WWF schedule was in the late-1980s, but this illustrates that point better than most. Bam Bam Bigelow married Dana on 15 November 1987, then went on the road less than 24 hours later.
He was gone for approx 60 days.
Dana jokes on the doc that she likely has nothing bad to say about Bammer 'cause she only really saw him 10 times per year. Seriously though, the schedule was staggering. Bam Bam worked 60 days without even one day off, and often wrestled double shots during weekends as well.
His new bride definitely got a kick out of seeing her man on TV though. She knew it made him happy, and he spoke of using the WWF's big money to provide for their family. Still, it must've been surreal for Dana to find herself alone for a few months right after getting married.
