By the late-90s, Bigelow was considered fairly washed up but was still earning a good living as part of WCW's roster. The former WrestleMania headliner wasn't winning a ton of matches on TV, and he decided to use that as a teachable moment for his young kids back home.

Bam Bam told them he was "the highest paid loser in the world". His point? Acknowledging the worked nature of wrestling, and explaining that he'd do whatever it took to provide for his family. It's clear from all the talking head stories on 'Dark Side' that Bigelow was an excellent dad.

Addiction issues just piled up and ruined his life, but his children still have fond memories. Never winning most of his matches on WCW television or pay-per-view was like water off a duck's back to the big man. It didn't really bother him, especially when he was still raking it in under a guaranteed contract.

Besides, it meant he could clue in his kids.
