10 Things We Learned From Dark Side Of The Ring: Chris Candido & Sunny

1. It’s More About Chris Than Tammy/Sunny

Dark Side Of The Ring VICE Chris Candido Sunny

Being honest, the opener to 'Dark Side Of The Ring's' fourth season puts Chris Candido in the spotlight more than Tammy/Sunny. Just know that going in before watching, because the episode is more about Candido's pro wrestling dreams, developing problems and death more than anything else.

Tammy is obviously involved, but her side gets slightly less time from the producers. This, perhaps oddly, could be considered a disappointment for those hoping she'd be the focal point. That definitely isn't the case; most of the talking heads discuss Chris 80-90% of the time.

Troublingly, there is one awful moment involving Sunny. During the doc, she laughs off various DUIs and time spent in jail. It's almost eerie to see someone act so dismissively towards serious problems, but there isn't a lot about her life that'll shock many by now.

The season opener is a story about what might've been for Candido, and the regrets his mother has today.
