10. They Met When Hawk Slapped Animal

The Road Warriors met inside the sweaty confines of Jesse Ventura's gym in Minneapolis.

It was a chance meeting, one that probably would've happened eventually (both were big on lifting weights, obviously). Still, Animal was a bit taken aback when Hawk strolled over, surprised him with a stiff slap on the back and said he should be lifting more weight.

That cheeky comment could've led to a verbal volley from Animal, but he told VICE he took to Hawk straight away and the pair hit it off as friends. After that, they became workout partners and probably scared the living crap out of anyone else who frequented the free weight area of the gym.

Hawk's need to constantly push things became a key part of the run together, but it wasn't a new thing for him; before he was even involved in the wrestling business as a pro, the guy was training himself for the rigours of the ring...
