Eventually, Hawk and Animal started working as bouncers in a bar called Grandma B's in Minneapolis. After lifting copious amounts of weights and making sure to drink their shakes, the pals certainly looked the part, and it didn't take long for them to work their way up to other odd jobs for the bar's owners.

That meant drugs. Lots and lots of drugs.

Animal admitted that The Warriors would "collect" money for one of the managers if he dealt cocaine and didn't get paid. Their job was to strut over, look mean and threaten powder-nosed patrons into stumping up what they owed. Hawk and Animal didn't wear the face paints and shoulder pads though. That came later in the ring.

At Grandma B's, they cut their teeth by literally throwing unruly punks through doors, beating up anyone who caused trouble and making sure Mr. Manager got paid oodles of cash for quietly shifting coke instead of alcohol.
