Richard Aslinger, who worked as Richard Slinger, says going to Japan left Terry in a depressed state of mind. He missed his wife, kids and mother too much, but ran regular, lengthy tours in the country. Incredibly, for at least a few years, Terry was on the road for 360 days. Yes, three hundred and sixty days per year.

That's outrageous.

Gordy's family agreed that the schedule was far too full on, but the money was good. On the doc, Jim Cornette talks about workers using sleeping pills to cope with time zone changes and switch off, and then Mick Foley calls it a short leap from using pills because you need to and using because you’re an addict. That's really sad.

Terry was a known drinker and liked to dabble in other recreational drugs here or there, but his real problems started once pills became part of his daily routine. That's when friends on the road started to notice changes in him - Gordy sidestepped disaster a few times.
