10 Things We Learned From DDP On Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Podcast

1. Why He’s So Proud Of WrestleMania X8

“Jesus”.

That's what Austin said when DDP painted quite the picture about his WrestleMania X8 match vs. Christian in 2002. At the time, Page was just about to turn 46 years old. Meanwhile, Christian was 28. That's an 18 year age gap between both men, which 'Stone Cold' admits he didn't even think about when researching.

The age difference is partly why Dallas is still so proud of that European Title bout today. He doesn't think fans watching now could look back and "see an old guy in there". Basically, he's content that he could still go with young dudes nearing their prime (like Christian was) towards the end of his career.

Fair point. Page's federation run might've been a bit of a washout, but he still got to wrestle in the Toronto SkyDome against a top young midcarder. He'll never forget that as long as he lives, and perhaps rightly so.
