10 Things We Learned From Eric Bischoff's Podcast On Returning To WWE
5. Who He Was Excited To Pitch Different Ideas For
Before re-joining the company, Eric had a solid idea of talent he wanted on SmackDown.
He compared Dolph Ziggler to Kurt Angle on the pod, and noted how Ziggler can go from playing a super-serious, credible athlete one minute to hamming it up in comedy skits the next. He loves that kind of range, and it's why he holds Dolph in very high esteem.
Bischoff was similarly enthused about working with Sheamus. He even pitched to WWE creative that the Irishman get a "little more danger" too - Eric's general idea was to toughen Sheamus up and present him as one of the hardest, most rugged men on the roster.
Remember those names for a coming entry, because they just might've come into things when Bischoff realised his days were numbered in WWE. Before reaching that point though, he had some grand ideas to repackage and/or tweak talent.
