10 Things We Learned From IMPACT Wrestling Live

4. The Main Event Was Fairly Flat

Sorry to report, but it's back to some negatives for now.

Glasgow's main event saw Motor City Machine Guns duo Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley team up to face Josh Alexander and Eric Young. This felt a little short on stakes for the main event slot, and that's coming from someone who keeps abreast with what's happening on IMPACT TV,

Granted, bookers had bigger nights to come in Newcastle and Coventry, but a non-title tag effort just didn't really cut it. If anything, Joe Hendry's "Glasgow Cup" match vs. veteran Frankie Kazarian would've been a better way to close things out. Even Trinity's Knockouts Title defence vs. Emersyn Jayne might've received a better reaction.

The live crowd seemed a little puzzled by the headliner choice, being brutally honest. It wasn't a bad match by any means (the Machine Guns are still one of the slickest tags around), but there didn't appear to be much riding on it either.
