10 Things We Learned From IMPACT Wrestling Live

3. There Should’ve Been More Title Matches

The fact that IMPACT World Champ Alex Shelley and X Division supremo Chris Sabin were both working a non-title main event meant neither belt was up for grabs in Glasgow. So, the only strap on the line was Trinity's Knockouts World prize, and that wasn't really enough to add extra value to the card.

This was the company's first UK date in years. It wasn't cheeky to expect that the World Title would be on the line, or that Sabin would work some sort of fast-paced X Division showcase. Nobody was waiting on Ultimate X, but come on - a few more tasty title bouts wouldn't have gone amiss.

Staunch defenders of all things IMPACT will point out that the matches were being taped for TV. In other words, D'Amore didn't have to book title bouts for the sake of it. Fair enough, but something more was needed, because the show kinda fizzled out a wee bit.

Not the end of the world, but still a valid point to raise.
