10 Things We Learned From Jeff Hardy On Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Podcast

7. Jeff Never Pitches Ideas To Vince McMahon

Say Jeff Hardy has a bold new vision for where his WWE character should go, or fancies feuding with an up-and-coming young star. Instead of going direct to Vinnie Mac (which most wrestlers with his tenure probably do), the daredevil seeks out Michael Hayes instead.

He always has.

According to Jeff, it was always Matt who'd pitch things to the office for them. He's 'more of a businessman' than his sibling, and they kinda slid into a comfort zone of Matt being the outspoken one who'd fight their corner. Obviously, with Matt in AEW now, Jeff has had to step up and be more vocal about his own creative.

Even so, he feels way more comfortable approaching Hayes than the boss. The former Freebird then relays things to Vince and comes back with a yes or no answer. It was rather unexpected (for this fan, at least) to find out that Jeff rarely speaks to McMahon about the direction of his onscreen work.
