That second run in WCW reaped rewards, but also had pitfalls of its own.

Bash At The Beach 2000, and the controversy between Hulk Hogan and Vince Russo ("big, bald son of a bitch!"), will be remembered forever. However, few have taken the time to learn or care about Jarrett's part in the whole 'worked shoot gone sour' shenanigans from that day.

According to Jeff, he knew he'd be laying down for Hulk. However, that booking wasn't thrashed out days in advance; Jarrett even planned out a full match with Hogan at around 5pm on pay-per-view day, and they agreed to a DQ finish. Then, somewhere in there, plans changed and Hogan questioned Russo's long-term ideas.

The whole thing left Jeff "super disgusted".

He was annoyed that he didn't get to work with Hulk properly, and he didn't think it was smart to work paying customers without payoff either. Today, Jarrett views the incident as a "black eye on the business". Austin didn't know whether or not Jeff was legit p*ssed at the situation - he was, and called it "bad TV".
