7. Mox Wanted To Quit Drinking For A Long Time

Jon had wanted to quit drinking long beforehand anyway, but he definitely fancied chucking booze when Renee was giving birth to their beautiful baby daughter in June 2021. The problem? He was stuck in a vicious cycle and would get "the shakes" when alcohol withdrawals kicked in.

The wrestler would grab a drink (even one shot) to "mellow out" and go about his day. Incredibly, after reading about the chances of alcoholics dying if they tried to go cold turkey, Moxley experienced crippling bouts of physical anxiety if he didn't have a drink close at hand.

That was particularly troublesome on flights - he'd sit there sweating/shaking and waiting on the alcohol cart to whizz past so he could grab something. That's scary, and it makes Renee feel sick to think about now. Trying to constantly chase this process left Mox "exhausted".

He was deathly afraid of having a seizure on live TV or on a plane.
