10 Things We Learned From Jon Moxley On Talk Is Jericho

3. WWE Wanted Him To Write A Book

WWE approached Mox about writing a book years ago.

Jon didn't reveal exactly when, but it sounds like it was somewhere between his short WWE Title run in 2016 and 2018-ish. It'd certainly have happened before things started really breaking down between both parties by the end of that year. Regardless of time frame, he wasn't up for it.

The company wanted Moxley to travel with a ghost writer who'd pick his brains about old stories and then put the book together. That made Jon uncomfortable immediately - he wanted to tell his story his own way, and hated the thought of anybody putting words into his mouth or using creative license over his life.

That's why Jon deliberately picked a small publishing company to help with his forthcoming book. They approached him too, so it's not like he went looking for some new project. He's proud that it's the "least-edited book of all time".
