9. His First Impression Of Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels was the one who spotted Nash (as Vinnie Vegas) on WCW programming, and he personally headhunted his would-be backup. Kev told Austin that he didn't know Shawn at all - he actually didn't meet HBK until the first time they worked together at TV.

"He was very self-loathing".

That honest assessment was Nash's first impression of Michaels. He knew deep down that Shawn was jealous of his musclebound frame and God-given height, and he ended up talking his new peer through crippling bouts of self-doubt several times during the early days.

At the same time, Kevin thought HBK was smart for seeking him out as a heater. They gelled quickly on screen, became fast friends behind the scenes, and Nash knew he'd have Shawn's back from that moment on; he could live with self-doubt when friendship was on the table and such a great spot on WWF cards was guaranteed from day one.
