October 8, 2017 was one of the most stressful days of Sami Zayn's life. There, he was due to turn heel for the first time in his WWE career by helping Kevin Owens win a Hell In A Cell match over Shane McMahon. Sami also had to deal with the pressure of protecting all involved, including himself, during the closing stunt.

Zayn was anxious as hell about getting his timing right. He had to pull Owens from the announce desk just as Shane jumped from atop the Cell, and he only had a split second to do it. Sami had to go from invisible (to fans watching at home) to villain in around "1.8 seconds". Making things worse, Owens had a bad back and couldn't be jerked from the table quickly.

Throughout the day, Sami was repeatedly told by production workers not to worry too much. That irked him, because he would be the one responsible if McMahon crashed down on Owens and potentially killed himself, Sami's friend and the entire spot.

The pressure must have been immense, but Zayn pulled it off.
