At WrestleMania XIV, Kingston was just happy to be there and work the pre-show Battle Royal. A year later, he craved more, and he got it when he was put in the opening Money In The Bank match. After missing out on the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out, Kofi was determined to put on a show in Houston.

Some of his spots proved memorable, so much so that his peers gave him a standing ovation when he returned backstage. Feeling good about himself, Kingston went to bed thinking this was the start of something special. 24 hours later on Raw, he turned up to find out he wasn't doing anything on the card at all.

That had to suck.

This taught Kofi that things can come very quickly in WWE, and they can be taken away even faster; incidentally, Kingston worked a dark match against Shelton Benjamin before Raw went on the air, then transitioned into the US Title scene.
