If you know who Kurt Angle is, then chances are you'll know that he is an Olympic gold medallist. Not only that, but he also won the gold medal with a 'broken freakin' neck'. Not bad going Kurt, not bad at all.

In his chat with Russo Angle reveals that when the Atlanta Olympics came around in 1996 he was only just starting to get the hang of wrestling. He goes so far as to claim that he doesn't think he was that good when he won the gold medal, a truly astounding claim.

In hindsight, Kurt feels he should have gone on in wrestling for another four years, but after winning Olympic gold he didn't feel there was anything left to prove. He wasn't satisfied with the gold medal, and nothing in his career has come close to that feeling either. This man is obviously pretty hard to please.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
