10 Things We Learned From Lita On Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Sessions Podcast

3. How Her Friendship With Kane Began

Broken Skull Sessions Lita Steve Austin

...like this.

Some wrestling fans have likely blocked this from their minds. Just...pretend it didn't happen, people! The warped marriage, pregnancy and miscarriage silliness from 2004 must be considered one of WWE's worst ever ideas. When Lita said it was just pro wrestling, Austin interrupted to say: "Nah, that's sports entertainment".

He didn't want pro wrasslin' to be dragged into that sh*t, clearly. Obviously, Lita and Kane knew it was barmy stuff, but they became great friends during that period. The pair would chat about real life and loads of non-wrestling topics during rehearsals, and Lita realised how smart, switched on and kind Kane is.

Both she and Austin put big Glenn Jacobs over as one of the best human beings in the business, and the producers showed a few fascinating still images from those wedding rehearsals. Seeing Vince McMahon direct traffic for such a stupid angle is some laugh.

Lita wasn't too keen on the storyline, but she's glad she got to spend so much time with Kane.
