It's obvious from listening to Matt talk at length that he's a huge fan of multi-layered storytelling. That's why he looked on from afar and admired how AEW slowly built up The Dark Order's menace until revealing Brodie Lee as their 'Exalted One' this past week.

That, to Matt, was genius.

A lot of fans online had started to speculate that Hardy's 'Broken' character would be revealed as the group's mastermind. When Matt spotted those comments, he smiled and knew his AEW debut would be even more memorable. As a knock-on effect, he also knew that Brodie's own introduction would catch people by surprise.

Despite the lack of a live crowd, both enjoyed their big moments. Lee got his own spotlight and Hardy is now part of the ongoing battle between The Elite and The Inner Circle. Both are in excellent spots quickly after leaving WWE, and that makes Matt happy.
