Not to stereotype wrestling fans but you’ve all seen what the crowd is like at wrestling shows. It’s, well, very very male. Hell, our YouTube audience is 95% male so we can’t talk. The Japanese crowd however, was incredibly diverse. It’s a nice mix of men and women, there’s business men still in their suits with their wives cheering along at their side, young guys watching with their friends, groups of girls cheering and taking selfies as Tanahashi walks out and everything in between.

It’s refreshing to see such a mixed crowd, and not just between males and females but every age group, every socio-economic group and every social group, all coming together to watch something they love.
