The remarkable early success of Elias Samson continued this week, as the company's latest signing sensation (who shouldn't presumably be referred to as 'The Drifter' anymore), hassled the crowd yet again before falling afoul of an enraged Dean Ambrose.

Samson defeated 'The Lunatic Fringe' in his main roster debut match, and has since kept loose involvement in the conflict between Dean and new Intercontinental Champion The Miz.

He was something of an unfortunate victim of Ambrose's fury, but was given the opportunity to get his revenge (and the vitally important last word) after The Miz appeared on the TitanTron mocking the former champion and promoting his Comeback Tour celebration planned for later in the broadcast.

Following what should be a rematch defeat against the seven-time champion, Ambrose appears to be moving into a feud with Samson which by rights he should probably lose. It's thus not the best time to be the ex-Shield member, but it'll be hard to argue against affording Elias a chance to shine in a new spotlight beyond the one that hangs over his brilliantly irritating acoustic solos.
