8. Finding Out Abdullah The Butcher Wasn't Real Broke His Heart

Growing up a huge wrestling fan, Scott Levy attended local shows in Philadelphia featuring the nightmarish Abdullah The Butcher. Not yet savvy to the industry being a work and 100% terrified of the huge butcher, the future Raven regularly moved away from the barricade when he saw Abdullah coming.

On Austin's show, Raven giggled as he recalled learning that this monster from Sudan was actually a mild-mannered guy called Lawrence Shreve from Canada. Finding out that Abdullah The Butcher wasn't real broke Levy's heart, because that was when he peeled back the curtain for the first time and realised it was all a smoke screen.

Raven used the words, 'he was just a fat guy from Canada' before agreeing with Austin that he actually respected Abdullah for making him believe. As a kid, it's no surprise that Levy was scared of Abdullah. Those large slices on his forehead and mammoth size were enough to terrify most fans.
